Leed Street

LEED STREET was an exploration into the many elements tied to a single site. Taking into account the physical and environmental factors alongside the historical importance of the space. Leeds street is situated within a hub of activity in Wellington. What once was an industrial area has been transformed into urban cityscape. Leeds street has maintained the highly industrial appearance even through the factory taking up most of the lane is now apartments. The colours and natural interventions along side the harsh industrial elements was a key observation that I built on for this collection.

These designs were created from original artworks influenced by elements of Leed Street. A range of skills were used to bring these designs to life including synthetic dye, screen printing and Manutex printing. All designs are dyed and / or printed onto 100% cotton.
